    My name is Anthony. I'm a New York cosplayer from the Hudson Valley. I've been cosplaying since 2013 and attending comic conventions since 2011. GMX Cosplay is devoted to the art, passion and appreciation of cosplay as well the thrill of attending conventions. I'm also an advocate for plus size cosplayers also being one myself.  My very first convention was Anime Next in NJ and after I attended I fell in love with the environment. The unique cosplays, friendly atmosphere , being accepted for what you enjoy was what got me into being a cosplayer and convention goer. To me this is life. I cosplayed my very first time as a Phase 1 Clone Trooper being a huge Star Wars fan, which at the time I was not very experienced, but over the years I got better. However know that cosplay is always an ongoing process, yet there is no wrong way to cosplay!

    I've been into all sorts of pop culture fandoms my entire life from movies, video games, comics and television, now being able to bring some of my favorite characters to life in cosplay is one of the greatest experiences I can have. To me cosplay Isn't just simply about dressing up, its about appreciation for the characters that you enjoy from the fandoms that you love and bringing out your creativity.  The best part about cosplay in my opinion is meeting new people at different conventions and not only making new friends but sharing different ideas and supporting one another. Acceptance is key and no matter which convention I attend I always see other cosplayers and con goers showing support to each other. That is what cosplay and comic conventions are truly about where you can express yourself without judgment or discrimination and just have fun and be you.

    I currently have completed over 25 cosplays. From the fandoms of Marvel, DC, Mass Effect, Supernatural, Star Wars and many more. To see what cosplays I've done please visit "My Cosplays". I also compete in various cosplay contests at  conventions that host them and so far have currently placed in 2 conventions (Contest Placements will be posted in a separate page).  As I finish a particular cosplay I always try to improve them over the years. Added to them, changing them around and overall maintenance. The more you wear a cosplay the more maintenance it will require. To this date my favorite cosplays I've done are Joker's Goon from Tim Burton's 1989 Batman and Darth Nihilus from Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic.
